Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator Lead to join our manufacturing team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the fabrication of high-quality sheet metal components, lead a team of skilled fabricators, and ensure that all projects meet stringent quality and safety standards. Your expertise in welding, Amada Brake, and technical drawing interpretation will drive efficiency and excellence on the shop floor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, optimize processes, and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced environment. Duties Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the sheet metal fabrication team, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols Operate and set up various machinery including press brake machines, laser cutters, and electrical discharge machining tools. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce precise metal components Program CNC equipment for efficient machining operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise Perform quality inspections using precision measurement instruments to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications Maintain a safe work environment by following safety standards in production and enforcing safety protocol adherence among team members Conduct tooling setup, machine calibration, and routine maintenance to optimize manufacturing processes Train and mentor team members on machine operation, safety procedures, measurement techniques, and fabrication best practices Skills Extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, welding, cutting ( CNC laser), stamping, and assembly Proficiency in operating a variety of manufacturing equipment such as press brakes, TIG/MIG welder, hand tools, and laser. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately Skilled in using measuring instruments for quality control and precision measurement in machining Ability to perform shop math accurately for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and commitment to maintaining a safe workspace Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency Join us as a Sheet Metal Fabricator Lead if you are passionate about precision craftsmanship, eager to lead a talented team, and dedicated to delivering top-tier manufacturing results.
