Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, fabricating, and assembling HVAC duct systems on commercial construction projects. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, work independently or as part of a team, and maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Responsibilities Install rectangular, round, spiral, and oval ductwork. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Measure, cut, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal components. Install VAV boxes, dampers, louvers, grilles, diffusers, and related HVAC components. Seal ductwork and ensure installations meet project specifications and code requirements. Use hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Coordinate with project supervisors and other trades to complete work on schedule. Maintain a clean and safe work area while following OSHA safety standards. Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy. Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of commercial sheet metal experience. Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints. Experience installing commercial HVAC duct systems. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights, including ladders, lifts, and scaffolding. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance. Physical Requirements Stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday. Work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots. $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
