Summary:

Assembles, installs and repairs sheet metal products, parts and equipment. What you'll be responsible for in this role: Assembles units, exhaust fans, house doors, damper hoods and makes pan rings according to job order

Smooths burred surfaces with files and grinders

Lay and attach metal or wood flooring and/or covering

Apply primer, paint, and caulk as needed

Perform close up requirements

Other duties as assigned What are the qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to six months related experience and/or training.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Knowledge and understanding of metal types and gauging

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. What are the preferred qualifications?
