Job Summary

We are seeking highly experienced Structures / Sheet Metal Mechanics with 11+ years of experience for precision airframe assembly and repair. The ideal candidate specializes in skin repair, remove & replace, and close-tolerance structural work on corporate or commercial aircraft. Must pass a plate test.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, install, seal, rig, inspect, and complete precision structural and system components per drawings, SRM, SAP, process specs, and QC requirements

Perform skin remove & replace, structural repairs, and sheet metal assembly to exacting tolerances

Lay out holes by hand, drill close-tolerance holes, countersink, and install fasteners including hi-loks and rivets

Drill out rivets and perform rework without damaging adjacent structure

Use shop mathematics and precision measuring/test instruments to complete work assignments and functional tests

Obtain required information from blueprints, charts, sketches, work instructions, and electronic/verbal information

Utilize tooling to assemble components into sub-assemblies or end items

Verify all work meets work instructions and engineering specifications; identify and document discrepancies per procedure

Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure

Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of daily TPM duties: replace filters, bulbs, maintain lubrication/coolant levels, etc.

Functional test and correct fit, form, and function of assemblies and components

Requirements

Experience:

11+ years of Structures/Sheet Metal experience required

Skills:

Expert in skin repair, skin remove & replace

Proficient in countersinking, hi-lok installation, fasteners, drilling out rivets

Ability to drill close-tolerance holes and lay out holes by hand

Strong blueprint reading; experience referencing SRM and SAP

Precision assembly and sealing of structural components

Testing:

Must pass a plate test

Availability:

Must be available to work any shift: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd

Must be available for overtime

Other:

No A&P required

No personal tools required

Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Must pass background check, drug test, and employment verification

Work Environment

Aerospace MRO or OEM production environment. Work on aircraft structures at various heights. Strict adherence to FOD control, OSHA, and quality standards. PPE required.
