Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team for the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical systems. This role involves working on construction sites and manufacturing environments, utilizing various welding techniques and fabrication tools to produce high-quality metal components according to industry standards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, manufacturing, or related fields to contribute to complex projects requiring precision and technical expertise. Duties Perform TIG, FCAW, and MIG welding on various materials including sheet metal, ductwork, and piping in accordance with blueprints and schematics; Mostly TIG Welding and sheet metal work preferred Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure proper fit and specifications Execute fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, assembling, and welding metal parts for construction or manufacturing projects Conduct rigging and crane operations as needed for lifting and positioning heavy components Maintain compliance with ASME codes & standards during fabrication processes Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment Assist in pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks as required for project completion Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites or manufacturing floors Qualifications Proven experience in welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW) with knowledge of welding standards Construction site experience preferred but not mandatory Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication work Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations Experience operating cranes or forklift is a plus but not required Strong understanding of fabrication processes including sheet metal work, ductwork assembly, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly operations Ability to work efficiently during the 2nd shift schedule while maintaining high safety standards This position is ideal for candidates with a background in construction or manufacturing who are looking to apply their technical skills in a dynamic environment. Pay:
$27.00 - $29.00 per hour
