Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw metal materials into precise, high-quality fabricated components using a variety of welding, cutting, and measuring techniques. Your expertise in mechanical fabrication, blueprint reading, and metalworking will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to exact specifications. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements. Operate various power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal and other metal materials. Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of components. Set up and operate machinery including press brake machines, plasma cutters, pipe threading equipment, and the press brake for bending sheet metal. Conduct rigging, pipe threading, and assembly tasks while following safety protocols and ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety procedures related to construction site experience, forklift operation, machining, soldering, and gas metal arc welding. Qualifications Proven experience in fabrication shop environments with a strong background in metal fabrication and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Skilled in the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and schematics for precise work. Hands-on experience with welding processes including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding within welding standards. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret mechanical schematics for fabrication tasks. Familiarity with construction site procedures including rigging, ductwork installation, pipe threading, and assembly processes. Proficiency with power tools such as grinders, drills, plasma cutters, press brakes, and hand tools required for fabrication tasks. Knowledge of safety protocols related to metal fabrication operations and construction environments; certification in forklift operation is a plus. Mechanical knowledge combined with shop math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during fabrication projects.
