Job Description

This position is a Direct Hire opportunity involving Minimal Supervision . We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and skilled Precision Sheet Metal Mechanic (1st Class) to join an established organization in Maple Shade, NJ . The ideal candidate would possess the ability to operate various machinery, interpret blueprints, assist with welding designs for sheet metal fabrication, and act as point person for short run government contracts with Lockheed Martin to manufacture and supervise production of necessary equipment/components. This opportunity is Not HVAC related. Knowledge of SolidWorks and Estimates required Familiarity with CNC, Lasers, high accuracy parts with tight
Tolerances Schedule:
1st shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday to
Friday Salary:
$52,000 - $57,000
Per Year Responsibilities/Requirements:
Not HVAC Can work with minimal supervision. Read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings and sketches. Understands geometrical tolerances (True Position).
Can set up and operate:
Amada Punch Press, Brake, Shear, Drill Presses, Notcher-Hand Tools, etc. Understands how to develop parts using bend deductions, bend allowances etc. Have a basic understanding of the programming languages needed to control an Amada punch press, define operations, tool paths, and material properties. Ability to aid in the design of welding fixtures, drill fixtures and any other shop tool needed to fabricate parts.
