Role:

Kent Sheet Metal is looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic and a motivated Helper to join our growing team on Long Island and the Five Boroughs, NY. If you take pride in quality craftsmanship and want to work with a company that values your skills, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components and systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand and power tools Install ductwork, equipment, and other sheet metal products Assist lead mechanics with layout, assembly, and installation tasks (Helper role) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with project specs

Requirements:

Prior experience in sheet metal fabrication or installation preferred (Mechanic role) Willingness to learn and take direction in a hands-on environment (Helper role) Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus Comfortable working at heights, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

OSHA 30/SST

Valid driver's license preferred
