Job Description

Put your skills to great use with a company that can truly appreciate you and a place where you can grow! AtWork is now hiring experienced Sheetmetal mechanics. We offer 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts, 8 and 10-hour shifts to meet your schedule needs.

Sheetmetal Mechanic Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal products Measure, mark dimensions and lay out material to be installed using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators and squares Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with solder, welds, caulk, bolts and metal driver clips, ensuring work is done carefully and bonds will last Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ducts, flashings, rain gutters and furnace casings in supportive frameworks Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
Responsibilities:
Cut, bend and shape sheet metal to spec Measure, cut, fabricating, assembling, connecting and installing sheet metal duct work Being comfortable using hand tools such as screwdrivers, air hammers, power drills, etc. Working from ladders, scaffolds, scissor lifts, etc. Read and interpret blueprints and other architectural or structural drawings accurately Install, alter, and repair sheet metal products Measure, bend, and shape sheet metal for application Assemble hoods and sheet metal HVAC systems and components Proficiently hang duct and secure vent caps Perform operational checks of ducts and other sheet metal assemblies and installations Demonstrate proper and safe use of tools and related equipment Maintain site safety procedures and policies Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work and communicate effectively individually as well as in a team environment
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in sheet metal work, fabricating and installing duct work Consistent punctuality and reliability. Employees must have proper PPE hard hat, work boots, work gloves, safety glasses, and safety vest.
