Job Description
Overview The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for cutting, forming, and assembling sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by producing high-quality parts used in structural and building systems. The ideal candidate has experience working with fabrication equipment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency. Key Responsibilities Fabricate sheet metal components using cutting, bending, and forming processes Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, plasma cutters, lasers, and CNC machines Set up machines, tooling, and materials according to production requirements Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders Measure, mark, and verify materials to ensure accuracy and proper dimensions Perform forming operations including bending, rolling, and shaping metal components Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications Perform basic assembly of fabricated components as required Troubleshoot fabrication issues and adjust as needed Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and basic maintenance Accurately document production output and material usage Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet output goals
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum 3 to 5 years of sheet metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environmentEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience with press brakes, shears, lasers, or CNC equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication processes and equipment Ability to perform precise measurements and maintain tolerances Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to quality and detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWork Schedule:
