What You'll Do Interpret advanced ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches—then convert them into accurate layouts and cut lists Fabricate piece parts in the shop and assemble them to specification with consistent quality Install foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, and shipboard furniture on board Apply OSHA shipbuilding safety practices while working in a physically demanding environment Essential Experience Three years as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker, including shipboard installation and sheet metal fabrication shop work Mastery of fractional/decimal measurements with a ruler and dependable layout (layoff) skills Hands-on use of small tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns) and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears) Your Background Marine experience preferred Aircraft, industrial, or commercial sheet metal experience considered equivalent and encouraged Extra Strengths Rigger/material handling experience Familiarity with mobile equipment such as JLGs and scissor lifts If you're driven by accuracy, craftsmanship, and safe execution, this is where your skills make a visible impact on every hull and compartment you touch.
