In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all projects meet quality standards and safety regulations while supporting the production of high-quality metal structures and parts. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate sheet metal components. Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment Set up and calibrate machining tools and fabrication equipment to ensure precise measurements and quality standards are met. Perform machining tasks Conduct quality inspections using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and adherence to blueprint specifications. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety standards in production, handling heavy sheet metal, and ensuring proper use of safety equipment. Assemble fabricated parts according to technical drawings while adhering to manufacturing procedures and tooling guidelines. Experience Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic or similar role Strong knowledge of mechanical blueprint interpretation, measurement techniques, and quality control processes. Familiarity with safety standards related to machining operations, sheet metal fabrication, and tool handling. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise fabricated components. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to machining setups, and quality inspection procedures. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in tooling setup, fabrication processes, and the use of hand tools for assembly tasks.
