Job Description

Job Title:
Fabricator Job Description This role focuses on forming and bending metal for custom projects, using press brake equipment and related fabrication machinery to produce high-quality parts for a variety of customer applications. You will set up and operate brake presses and other metal fabrication equipment, ensuring accurate measurements, precise bends, and consistent quality in a clean and organized production environment. Responsibilities Form and bend metal components for custom projects according to specifications and customer requirements. Set up and operate brake press machines, including Cincinnati and similar press brake equipment, to produce accurate and consistent parts. Read and interpret blueprints to determine dimensions, tolerances, and required machine setups. Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform machine setups for press brakes, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and adjusting machine parameters. Operate additional fabrication equipment such as punch presses, turret presses, and lasers as needed to support production. Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and completeness, making adjustments to setups or processes as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following established procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement in fabrication processes. Essential Skills 2-3+ years of brake press experience, including setup and operation of Cincinnati or similar press brake machines. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for metal fabrication projects. Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication processes. Demonstrated ability to perform accurate machine setups for press brakes. Experience operating fabrication equipment such as punch presses, turret presses, and lasers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Ability to work effectively in a structured production environment and follow established procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Turret or punch press experience is a plus. Experience with laser operation in a fabrication setting is beneficial. Background in general metal fabrication and setups across multiple machines. Comfort working with a variety of sheet metal thicknesses and configurations. Why Work Here? The position offers multiple shifts:
a first shift from 5:50 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. (Monday through Friday) and a second shift from 2:20 p.m. to 10:20 p.m., providing structured hours in a stable production setting. You will work with press brakes, punch presses, turret presses, lasers, and precision measuring tools in a well-maintained facility designed to support efficient and accurate metal fabrication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mequon, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
