In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops, carports, and ground-mounted structures. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and experience working on commercial-scale solar projects. Key Responsibilities Install photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial buildings, carports, and ground mounts Assemble and mount solar modules and racking systems Perform electrical wiring and system interconnection in compliance with code Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings Operate equipment such as scissor lifts and company vehicles Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols Maintain attendance, punctuality, and productivity standards Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of commercial solar installation experience Knowledge of NEC, solar codes, and installation practices Basic electrical knowledge (license preferred) Ability to read and understand construction plans and drawings Valid California Driver's License (must pass MVR) Experience operating lifts and working at heights Preferred Skills Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to work independently and as part of a team Leadership mindset with initiative and accountability Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Outlook, Google Sheets, and timekeeping systems Work Environment Combination of field work and occasional office work Outdoor job sites with moderate to high noise levels Physical work including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing, and standing for extended periods What We Value At Scudder Solar, we live by our core values: Customer First
