Full Job Description Lead Solar Installer Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE +

Office & Field-Based Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Solar Installer to oversee the successful execution of residential and commercial solar projects. This is a leadership position that combines field installation expertise with project coordination, crew management, scheduling, and operational responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can confidently lead crews, manage multiple projects, maintain high quality standards, and serve as a key resource between the office and the field. Responsibilities Lead and supervise solar installation crews Plan and coordinate project schedules and installation timelines Perform and oversee residential and commercial solar installations Pull permits and coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions Order materials and manage project inventory requirements Review project plans, layouts, and engineering documents Conduct site visits and verify project readiness Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company standards Coordinate with sales, operations, permitting, and project management teams Troubleshoot installation issues and develop field solutions Train and mentor installers and apprentices Complete project documentation and reporting Manage service calls, repairs, and system troubleshooting when needed Assist with process improvement and workflow efficiency Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment assigned to crews QualificationsRequired Minimum 3 years of solar installation experience Previous crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience Strong understanding of residential solar PV systems Ability to read construction plans, electrical diagrams, and installation drawings Excellent organizational and communication skills Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to work both in the field and in an office environment Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work at heights Preferred Enphase Certified Installer Tesla Certified Installer NABCEP Certification Electrical experience Roofing experience Experience with permitting and inspections Experience with material procurement and inventory management Compensation & Benefits $31.00 - $35.00 per hour starting pay, depending on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Mileage reimbursement 401(k) with company matching Medical, dental, and vision insurance Aflac supplemental insurance Company-paid life insurance Why Join Our Team?
