- Posted on June 3, 2026 Published By Roberto Venegas Trillium Construction is seeking reliable and motivated Commercial Solar Installation Technicians for work throughout the Fresno-Bakersfield, CA area! Candidates should have prior solar installation experience and preferably have completed a trade school program in electrical, renewable energy, construction, or a related field. Pay $23
- 26 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Install photovoltaic (PV) solar systems on ground-mounted and commercial structures.
- Assist with layout, assembly, and installation of solar racking systems.
- Lift, carry, and position solar panels safely and efficiently.
- Perform wire management and cable routing according to project specifications.
- Install conduit, junction boxes, combiner boxes, and related electrical components.
- Pull wire and assist with DC and AC electrical connections.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
- Read and follow construction drawings, site plans, and installation instructions.
- Assist with trenching, equipment staging, and site preparation.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure installations meet company and customer standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and client safety requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a team in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Previous solar installation experience required.
- Trade school graduate preferred (Electrical, Renewable Energy, Construction Technology, or related field).
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems and electrical principles.
- Experience with commercial, agricultural, industrial, or utility-scale projects is a plus.
- Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as project schedules require.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry solar panels, tools, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work outdoors for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in industrial, agricultural, ranch, dairy, and oil field environments.
