In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar energy systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Your expertise will help drive the transition to clean energy by ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality solar installations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that make a positive environmental impact while honing your skills in electrical systems, construction, and safety protocols. Responsibilities Safely install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and related electrical components on various types of roofs and ground sites Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation according to specifications Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and other construction tools to complete installations efficiently Connect electrical wiring for high voltage and low voltage systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and safety guidelines Conduct system inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of installed solar energy systems Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks such as roofing, plumbing (if applicable), and fixture installation Operate forklifts or other machinery as needed for material handling and site setup Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety checks, and compliance with regulations Qualifications Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical work related to construction sites or renewable energy projects Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints reading, and electrical wiring diagrams Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; familiarity with NEC standards is highly desirable Experience with roofing installation or roofing safety practices is a plus Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and teamwork Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts or similar machinery Physical ability to work at heights on roofs or scaffolding for extended periods Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in system installation and troubleshooting Join us in shaping the future of renewable energy!
