DefenseLite Installer / Lead Installer Window Film Depot Travel Required | Overnight Travel | Nights & Weekends | Full-Time Salary Dependent on Experience Level Position Overview Window Film Depot is seeking a motivated and dependable DefenseLite Installer to join our growing security glazing division. This position is responsible for the installation of DefenseLite retrofit security glazing systems, including polycarbonate security panels, aluminum extrusion framing systems, structural adhesives, tapes, and mechanical fasteners on commercial buildings, schools, government facilities, healthcare facilities, and retail storefronts. DefenseLite systems are custom-engineered retrofit security solutions designed to strengthen existing windows and doors against forced entry and impact threats. This role requires extensive travel throughout the United States and frequent overnight stays. Installations are often performed during evenings, weekends, and after-hours to minimize disruption to client operations. Responsibilities Install DefenseLite security glazing systems on commercial and institutional buildings. Measure, fabricate, and fit aluminum extrusion systems and polycarbonate security panels. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, ladders, and other installation equipment. Install structural adhesives, VHB tapes, mechanical anchors, and security fasteners in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and field measurements. Maintain a clean and professional jobsite. Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, general contractors, and facility personnel. Complete daily installation reports and project documentation. Travel nationwide for project assignments. Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays when required. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Qualifications Construction, glazing, window film, storefront, aluminum fabrication, or related installation experience preferred. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic construction math. Experience using drills, saws, rivet tools, impact drivers, and other hand tools. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass background checks when required for government, school, or secure facilities. Strong work ethic and willingness to travel extensively. Preferred Qualifications Commercial glazing experience. Window film installation experience. Low-voltage, security, or architectural construction experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift experience. Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work extended hours when project schedules require.
