Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Module Installer with a valid Maine Electrical License to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing photovoltaic (solar) systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring all work complies with electrical safety procedures, NEC (National Electrical Code) standards, and NFPA 70 regulations. Your expertise in electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, and working with high and low voltage systems will be essential to delivering safe, reliable solar solutions. Responsibilities Install photovoltaic modules and associated electrical components according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer instructions Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and forklifts safely to complete installations on rooftops or ground-mounted systems Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools to identify faults or inefficiencies in PV systems Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, NFPA 70 compliance standards, and OSHA regulations Perform roofing work as needed for rooftop solar installations and coordinate with roofing or plumbing teams when necessary Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting for system performance issues or failures Experience Proven experience working as a solar technician or in a similar photovoltaic system installation role Valid Maine Electrical License with a strong understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems Experience reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards related to photovoltaic systems and electrical safety procedures Hands-on experience with construction site work, roofing, plumbing, or outdoor renewable energy projects Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance requirements for electrical installations in commercial settings Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely Join us in advancing clean energy solutions!
