POSITION SUMMARY
Renewable Energy Partners (REP) is seeking motivated, safety-focused Solar Installers to join our growing construction team. This position is responsible for installing commercial, industrial, municipal, nonprofit, educational, and community solar projects throughout Minnesota.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Solar Installation Activities Install photovoltaic (PV) modules. Assemble roof-mounted, ground-mounted, canopy, and carport racking systems. Install module attachment hardware and system components. Mount inverters, combiner boxes, disconnect switches, and monitoring equipment. Mechanical Construction Perform layout and measurement activities. Assemble structural components. Install supports, brackets, and mounting systems. Assist with trenching operations. Material Handling Load and unload construction materials. Maintain organized staging and storage areas. Protect materials and equipment from damage. Electrical Installation Support Support conduit installation. Pull conductors through raceways. Assist with testing and commissioning activities. Safety Responsibilities Follow OSHA regulations. Participate in daily safety meetings. Utilize required PPE. Follow lockout/tagout and fall protection requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED. Construction, roofing, electrical, solar, or general labor experience preferred. Ability to read tape measures and use hand and power tools. Reliable transportation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous solar experience. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. Forklift or telehandler certification. First Aid/CPR certification. NABCEP Associate Credential.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently lift 50 pounds. Occasionally lift 75 pounds. Work outdoors in all Minnesota weather conditions. Climb ladders and work at heights.
