Role SummaryAs a Solar Installer on the Residential team, you will play a critical role in our solar operations. Your responsibilities will include installing and commissioning energy systems, resolving equipment issues, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and codes, and maintaining high-quality workmanship. This versatile role is instrumental in enhancing processes and supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our solar installations.

Key Responsibilities Load and unload materials at the warehouse, ensuring you have all necessary materials for each jobLoad and unload materials at the job site, ensuring all necessary materials are present and organized, while maintaining a clean and orderly work environmentInstall and commission energy systems on roofs, including array layout and mounting hardware, tailored to site conditions and customers needs and expectationsAdhere to building standards and codes when installing panels and support structuresAddress and resolve equipment issues and failures onsite efficientlyPerform routine maintenance on energy systems to ensure optimal performanceUtilize your knowledge to enhance processes and proactively review the quality of workmanship onsiteWork closely with team members and communicate job status to management effectivelyEnsure all equipment is properly weather-sealed to maintain system integrityKeep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly servicedFollow all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environmentPerform other related duties as assigned to support overall project successRequirements At least 6 months of hands-on experience in solar installation or a related field such as construction, roofing, or electrical workCapability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periodsProficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materialsExperience and comfort working in attics and confined spacesAbility to lift 75 pounds repeatedlyMust be proficient in the use of smartphones and tablets, utilizing them effectively for communication, accessing job-related apps and software, documenting work progress, and staying connected with team members and supervisors as requiredProven track record of reliable attendanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every jobPosition requires passing a drug screening and background checkA valid drivers license is required for all positions at Lumina SolarPerks & Benefits15 days PTO + paid holidaysMaternity and parental leaveMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid training and professional development
