Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Solar Install Crew Lead
  • Job Overview:
  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar Install Crew Lead to guide our team in delivering top-quality solar installation services.
As a pivotal member of our organization, the Crew Lead will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to fostering team collaboration to achieve operational excellence.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of solar installers to complete residential and commercial solar projects on time and within budget.
Ensure all installations are performed following company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate job site activities. Conduct on-site inspections and provide technical guidance to ensure the quality and efficiency of installations. Train and mentor crew members, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues promptly to maintain project timelines. Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to project reports. Promote a safety-first culture by enforcing company safety policies and conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in solar installation or a related field, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Solid understanding of photovoltaic systems and components. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong leadership and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • NABCEP Certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Experience with solar project management software. CPR and First Aid certification.
