STL USA's SolarStart program prepares new entrants and career changers with industry-recognized certifications, practical technical training, and connections to leading solar employers. The opportunity Designed for motivated new entrants and career changers, this program builds field-ready solar skills through instruction from experienced professionals and practice on equipment technicians encounter in the field. No prior renewable-energy experience is required. What you will gain Solar technical basics, including three days of GWO Solar Technical instruction. Low- and high-voltage
NFPA 70E, GWO
Solar Safety, switching, and grounding training. Hands-on experience through realistic field scenarios and practical exercises. Industry-recognized NFPA 70E and GWO Solar certifications, plus access to employment opportunities through STL USA's employer network. Who should apply Recent graduates, career changers, tradespeople, veterans, and others entering renewable energy. Safety-focused, dependable individuals comfortable working at height and ready for hands-on field work. Candidates willing to travel for training and relocate for assignments across the United States. Minimum requirements High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license; authorization to work in the United States. Ability to climb stairs and ladders while carrying up to 50 lbs. Willingness to travel for training and relocate across the USA. Training and funding The two-week course is delivered across STL USA's two Abilene, Texas training sites. Full employer scholarships may be available, along with fully or partially funded training, scholarships, and apprenticeship options.
