The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship and consistently delivers high-quality, precise work. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing tile on a variety of residential projects. You will work on diverse projects where attention to detail, reliability, and quality workmanship are highly valued. Compensation will be based on the quality and experience of your work. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine tile layouts and installation procedures. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and applying the appropriate adhesives, mortar, or setting materials. Install various types of tile, including ceramic, porcelain, glass, and marble. Accurately measure, mark, and cut tile using hand tools and power tools. Create clean, consistent layouts and patterns with precise spacing and alignment. Install tile in kitchens, bathrooms, showers, floors, backsplashes, and other residential areas. Have knowledge of proper waterproofing methods for shower and bath areas. Apply grout, silicone, and finishing materials to achieve a professional result. Repair, replace, and remove damaged or improperly installed tile as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout each project. Safely handle, transport, and lift tile, mortar, tools, and other construction materials throughout the workday. Follow applicable building standards, installation requirements, and construction safety regulations. Communicate professionally in English or Spanish with homeowners, supervisors, and other tradespeople. Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship.
