Job Description
Job Overview Join our tile and slab installation team as a Tile Setter. This senior-level role offers hands-on experience in tile installation, helping to transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship. As a tile setter you will be expected to be capable of determining the layout of various sizes and patters of tile and be expected to present multiple layout options to the customer prior to installation. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in construction, focusing on tile laying, surface preparation, and material handling. Duties Complete surface preparation, including cleaning, leveling, and applying substrates for tile installation with the assistance of an apprentice or helper Train an apprentice on how to cut tile using a wet saw Complete the installation of tile on floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces following blueprints and schematics Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with other jobsite team members on various tasks such as caulking, rough-in plumbing and electrical fixture installation to support overall project completion Requirements Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety procedures Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating fundamentals Strong interest in construction trades such as masonry, flooring installation, or remodeling Ability to follow instructions carefully and work effectively as part of a team Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods and being on your knees for extended periods Prior experience setting tile is required Valid driver's license or reliable transportation required
