Job Overview Join our flooring specialist team as a Tile Setter, where you'll bring craftsmanship and precision to every project! In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring tile surfaces across residential, commercial, and renovation sites. Your expertise will help transform spaces with beautiful, durable tile work that meets high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from flooring installations to intricate tile designs, all while honing your skills in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Responsibilities Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation by assessing blueprints, schematics, and project specifications. Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision to ensure seamless finishes. Mix mortar, grout, and other adhesives to secure tiles firmly in place while maintaining consistent quality. Read and interpret construction plans and schematics to execute tile layouts accurately. Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling floors, repairing water damage, or restoring existing surfaces before tile installation. Install related fixtures such as trims, caulking joints, cabinets, or other finishing elements to complete the project aesthetic. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools and disposing of waste materials; ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Requirements Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction work with a strong understanding of blueprint reading. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) essential for precise tile work. Knowledge of construction estimating techniques and ability to read schematics for accurate project execution. Experience with water damage restoration, floor care, caulking, trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, and remodeling projects is highly desirable. Familiarity with the use of construction site safety practices and ability to work effectively on various sites with diverse teams. Additional skills such as carpentry, concrete finishing, painting, buffing floors or fixtures enhance your versatility on the job. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to handle unexpected site challenges confidently.
