Aggregate Processing - Granite City Slag Plant Granite City Slag, located in Granite City, IL, is looking to fill positions for experienced Aggregate Processing. Position Summary The Granite City Slag Aggregate Processing employee is responsible for performing a variety of physical, hands‑on tasks to support the slag crushing and screening operations. This role ensures safe, efficient material handling and maintains a clean, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily plant operations including loading and general cleanup. Support slag processing activities such as crushing, screening, and moving material. Operate basic equipment and hand tools. Monitor work areas for hazards and report unsafe conditions. Assist with basic maintenance tasks as directed by supervisor. May include preventative maintenance and repair of all crushing and screening equipment. Follow all plant safety policies, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures. Required Qualifications Basic understanding of industrial or construction safety. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and around heavy equipment. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in crushing and screening of aggregate. Maintenance experience a plus. OSHA safety training. Physical Requirements Must be able to pass the pre-employment work steps testing.
