Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of flooring and wall surfaces using tiles, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help transform spaces, delivering durable and visually appealing results that meet client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about building material installation and construction projects to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute tile installation projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives for optimal tile adhesion. Install a variety of flooring types including ceramic, porcelain, vinyl, hardwood, epoxy floors, and carpets with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and lay tiles according to project specifications. Perform floor refinishing, water damage restoration, and floor care tasks to ensure long-lasting results. Apply caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and other building material installation techniques as needed for comprehensive project completion. Maintain strict adherence to building installation safety compliance standards while working on construction sites. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, building material installation, and flooring installation including tile laying. Strong knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans. Hands-on experience with epoxy floor installation, vinyl floor installation, hardwood floor installation, carpet installation, and floor refinishing. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in tile setting and general construction work. Ability to handle manual tasks such as manual handling of materials safely on construction sites. Familiarity with restoration industry practices including water damage restoration and renovation projects. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and building installation safety compliance standards. Additional skills such as cabinet installation, remodeling experience, concrete finishing, buffing, handyman skills, construction painting, caulking techniques, fixture installation, and schematics reading are highly desirable. $27.01 - $40.00 per hour
