Granite Templater Full Time Position $22 - $25 per hour based on experience National Design Mart is seeking a detail-oriented Granite Templater to support our countertop installation process by performing accurate field measurements and creating digital templates for granite, quartz, and other stone countertop projects. This role is ideal for someone with experience in construction, countertop fabrication, measuring, field service, home improvement, cabinetry, flooring, or installation support . The Granite Templater plays a critical role in ensuring projects are manufactured accurately and installed successfully. Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site measurements and create digital templates for residential and commercial countertop installations. Measure kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas to ensure fabrication accuracy. Review project specifications, layouts, and customer requirements prior to templating appointments. Verify cabinet installation, appliance locations, sinks, and other project details that impact countertop fabrication. Identify potential installation challenges and communicate findings to project teams. Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders, contractors, and internal departments. Educate customers on the templating and installation process. Maintain accurate records, measurements, and project documentation. Collaborate with Sales, Production, Fabrication, and Installation teams to ensure project success. Qualifications Previous experience with measuring tools and field measurements preferred. Experience in countertop templating, construction, cabinetry, flooring, fabrication, or home improvement is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable using tablets, measuring technology, and digital templating equipment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple appointments. Valid driver's license required with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Skills Countertop templating experience. Granite, quartz, or solid-surface industry experience. Construction or remodeling experience. Customer service experience. Digital templating software experience. Blueprint and floorplan reading experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday. Ability to work in occupied homes, construction sites, and commercial environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to enter and inspect confined areas, cabinetry spaces, and construction environments. Frequent driving between customer locations and job sites.
