Mill Creek Granite is a subsidiary of Mill Creek Lumber and Supply and we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Granite Installer to join our team. As a Granite Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation process, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and impeccable craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
Perform precise and accurate installations of granite countertops, backsplashes, and other granite surfaces according to specifications, blueprints, and customer preferences. Prepare the installation site by assessing and ensuring that the area is structurally sound, level, and properly prepared for granite installation. This may involve removing existing countertops, making adjustments to cabinetry or supports, and ensuring that all necessary plumbing and electrical connections are in place. Conduct thorough inspections of granite slabs and other materials to identify any imperfections, defects, or irregularities that may affect the installation. Make necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements to ensure a flawless finished product. Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, addressing any questions, concerns, or special requests they may have. Provide guidance and recommendations on granite maintenance, and care to ensure customer satisfaction. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, team members, and customers. Follow proper handling techniques to prevent damage to the granite or surrounding surfaces. Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including saws, grinders, polishers, and hand tools. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly. Collaborate with other team members, such as designers, fabricators, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution. Communicate effectively to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and maintain efficient workflow. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Granite Installer or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in the granite or stone industry. Proficiency in granite fabrication techniques, including cutting, polishing, and edging. Strong knowledge of granite installation best practices and industry standards Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. Excellent measuring and mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate dimensions and make precise cuts. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and overcome installation challenges. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy granite slabs, work in various positions, and perform manual labor Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with safety regulations and the proper use of tools and equipment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
