W-2 Employee or 1099 Independent Contractor Job Summary We are looking for a precision-focused Countertop Templater to join our team. This role is the vital bridge between our clients' visions and our fabrication shop. Whether you are working in a custom residential kitchen or on a large-scale commercial job site, your goal is to capture the "digital fingerprint" of the space to ensure a smooth installation. The Role As a Templater, you are the face of the company on-site. You'll use precision digital equipment to map out surfaces, providing the foundation for our entire fabrication process. You are responsible for capturing the final field dimensions that make a perfect fit possible.

Key Responsibilities Field Data Collection:

Visit residential and commercial sites to create digital templates for stone, quartz, porcelain, and solid surfaces.

Dimensional Accuracy:

Capture and verify all final field dimensions to ensure fabrication matches site conditions.

Logistics & Site Assessment:

Document site access and installation paths, including parking, elevator/stair access, and potential obstructions.

Detailed Documentation:

Confirm and record project details on-site, including backsplash heights, edge profiles, and sink/appliance specifications.

Site Readiness:

Verify that cabinetry is properly installed (level, plumb, and secured) before recording measurements.

Technical Prep:

Provide clean digital files and site photos to the production team. CAD Integration (Large Plus): Proficiency in AutoCAD to convert field files into production-ready drawings. Qualifications (For All Applicants)

Safety:

Must hold a current OSHA 10 certification . Attention to

Professionalism:

Ability to provide excellent customer service to homeowners and collaborate effectively with commercial site superintendents.

Blueprint Literacy:

Comfort reading architectural/millwork plans and shop drawings.
