The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring and wall tiles, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial installations, contributing to high-quality finishes that meet client expectations. The Tile Setter will utilize their expertise in installing building materials, interpreting technical drawings, and using various hand and power tools to deliver exceptional results. Duties Measure, cut, and install tiles with precision according to project specifications and technical drawings. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal tile adhesion. Install epoxy floors, vinyl flooring, hardwood, carpet, and other flooring materials with attention to detail. Execute water damage restoration tasks, including tile replacement and floor refinishing. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes. Interpret construction plans and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of tiles and fixtures. Perform caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet mounting as part of comprehensive building finishes. Maintain adherence to building installation safety compliance standards throughout all phases of work. Assist in remodeling projects by providing handyperson services such as painting, buffing, or minor repairs. Support restoration efforts by restoring surfaces to their original condition following damage or renovation. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and project planning related to flooring and tile installation. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of various flooring materials including epoxy, vinyl, hardwood, carpet, and tile laying techniques. Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately. Familiarity with building material installation standards and safety regulations. Experience in water damage restoration, floor refinishing, and general remodeling tasks. Competence in construction site experience with a focus on safety compliance. Excellent manual handling skills for lifting heavy materials and operating equipment over extended periods. Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and fixtures properly. Ability to perform restoration industry-specific tasks such as buffing or surface preparation.
