SUMMARY PACE
Energy Department Is looking for a motivated and dedicated
WEATHERIZATION TECHNICIAN
to join the team and organization. The Weatherization Technician will be performing energy-saving improvements and safety upgrades for eligible clients. This includes installing insulation, weatherstripping, lighting, and appliances; conducting basic repairs; and supporting diagnostic testing to improve energy efficiency. If you have minimum experience but are passionate and willing to learn, then we encourage you to still apply. We are willing to provide training to committed applicants with passion and dedication to learn and grow in the role and with the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install weatherization and energy-efficiency measures following safety standards. Perform basic home repairs (windows, doors, insulation, etc.). Operate diagnostic tools like Blower Door and Duct Blaster. Communicate professionally with clients and team members. Maintain accurate reports and data entries. Follow Lead-Safe and Cal/OSHA standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED/HSE equivalent, or 2+ years of relevant experience At least two (2) years hands-on experience in construction and/or weatherization preferred. However, if you do not meet this qualification, we still encourage you to apply as we are we are willing to provide training to individuals who are committed and dedicated to learning and growing in this role. Must complete and pass PACE field and assigned trainings within 90 days Basic Weatherization, CAS, Shell Leakage/Duct Sealing Training Certificates, a plus but not required Ability to lift and/or push up to 250 pounds with equipment provided and work in confined spaces Must be physically fit to wear dust mask and/or half mask respirators and other safety gear and/or equipment as required by the program. Valid CA Driver's License and clean driving record Must pass background and reference checks, drug test and physical exam COVID vaccination required; must have two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or a single-dose of Johnson & Johnson.
