Job Title:
Wildlife Technician -
Exclusion Specialist Position Summary:
The Wildlife Technician - Exclusion Specialist is responsible for safely and effectively resolving human-wildlife conflicts through professional exclusion techniques. This role involves identifying animal entry points, installing exclusion materials, repairing structural vulnerabilities, and ensuring long-term prevention of wildlife intrusions in residential and commercial properties. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, physical endurance, and a commitment to humane wildlife management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect structures to identify signs of wildlife activity, entry points, and damage. Perform hands-on exclusion work, including sealing gaps, repairing soffits, installing vent covers, screening, and applying other animal-proofing materials. Handle ladders, lifts, and power/hand tools safely and effectively. Ensure all exclusion work meets company quality standards and complies with local regulations. Educate customers on findings, treatment plans, and prevention measures. Assist with cleanup and remediation of animal-related debris (droppings, nesting materials, contamination). Safely handle and install one-way doors and exclusion devices when required. Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and job completion. Provide excellent customer service and represent the company with professionalism.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (trade or technical training a plus). Experience in construction, roofing, carpentry, or related field preferred. Comfort working at heights, in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined spaces. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Knowledge of local wildlife species and behaviors preferred (training provided).
Work Environment & Schedule:
Field-based, with frequent outdoor work in residential and commercial settings. Flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, depending on seasonal demands.

Pay:
$22.60 - $27.21 per hour
