Full Job Description Chimney Field Technician Pay:

$18/hour + 5%-10%

Weekly Commission Schedule:

Sunday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00

PM Saturday:

OFF About the Position We are looking for motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Field Technicians to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with customers, learning a skilled trade, and earning additional income through performance-based commissions. The Field Technician will travel to customer homes, perform chimney and fireplace inspections, identify potential issues, document findings, and communicate recommended services to homeowners. Previous chimney experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Compensation Base Pay:

$18 per hour + weekly commission Commission is based on the team's weekly total in completed sales: $10,000 weekly total → 5% commission $20,000 weekly total → 7% commission $30,000+ weekly total → 10% commission The more you contribute to the team's weekly production, the greater your earning potential.

OFF Occasional schedule adjustments may be discussed based on business needs. Responsibilities Travel to residential customer locations for scheduled appointments. Perform chimney and fireplace inspections. Inspect chimneys, fireplaces, caps, crowns, flashing, liners, masonry, and related components. Identify visible damage, safety concerns, maintenance needs, and potential repairs. Take accurate measurements and detailed photographs. Document inspection findings using company procedures and technology. Explain findings and recommended services to homeowners in a professional manner. Present repair and maintenance options when appropriate. Provide accurate estimates based on company pricing and procedures. Maintain professional communication with customers before, during, and after appointments. Educate customers about chimney maintenance and recommended services. Work closely with the office and repair teams to ensure smooth scheduling and completion of work. Maintain accurate paperwork and digital records. Follow all company safety procedures. Maintain a clean, professional appearance and organized vehicle/job-site environment. Represent the company professionally at every customer appointment. Qualifications Previous sales, customer service, inspection, construction, roofing, HVAC, chimney, or home-service experience is a plus. Chimney experience is preferred but not required — training is available for the right candidate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable speaking with homeowners and explaining service recommendations. Professional and confident demeanor. Self-motivated and goal-oriented. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also being part of a team. Comfortable working outdoors and on ladders/roofs when required. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and inspection equipment. Ability to use a smartphone/tablet for photographs, reports, scheduling, and documentation. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Must be dependable and punctual. Must be comfortable working in residential homes. Ability to lift equipment and perform physically demanding tasks when necessary.
