Weatherization Technician Apprentice Starting Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Position Type:
Apprenticeship / Entry-Level Training Position Position Overview The Weatherization Technician Apprentice works alongside experienced technicians to improve the energy efficiency, comfort, and safety of residential homes. This position is designed for individuals interested in learning a skilled trade and building a long-term career in the energy efficiency and construction industry. As training milestones are completed, participants become eligible for wage increases and advancement opportunities, with the goal of transitioning into full-time employment. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with residential weatherization projects Install insulation and air sealing materials Learn to identify energy efficiency opportunities in homes Assist with basic diagnostic testing and equipment setup Maintain a clean and safe work environment Load, unload, and transport tools and materials Follow all safety procedures and company policies Participate in required classroom and hands-on training Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to: Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently Work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas Climb ladders and navigate uneven surfaces Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions Stand and move for extended periods throughout the workday Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid driver's license preferred Reliable transportation Ability to pass employer screening requirements Positive attitude and willingness to learn Strong work ethic and dependability Career Path Successful apprentices may advance into positions such as: Weatherization Technician Energy Efficiency Installer Crew Leader Energy Auditor Building Performance Technician We are looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn a valuable trade and build a long-term career.
Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour
