Job Description
We are searching for our next Quality and Warranty Specialist! Do you love construction, solving problems, and making customers happy? This job might be for you! This position is a field-based role responsible for on-site quality inspections and some hands-on warranty work after possession. You will work side by side with our Quality & Warranty Coordinator, who handles all scheduling, homeowner communication, and documentation
- your focus is in the field: inspecting, assessing, and getting things fixed.
Compensation:
$25- $30 per hour
Responsibilities:
Attend and conduct Pre-Insulation Inspections (PII) to verify behind-the-wall items are correctly installed before insulation is in place Attend and conduct Quality Assurance Inspections (QAI) on completed homes, verifying workmanship and construction quality against BAGI Standards Conduct on-site inspections of homeowner warranty claims to assess validity and determine the scope of repair Self-perform minor repairs (handyman-level work: caulking, trim, hardware, paint touch-up, minor drywall, etc.) Coordinate with and oversee vendors performing warranty repairs on-site Attend scheduled warranty appointments at homeowners' homes with professionalism and a customer-first attitude Assist with Customer Orientations and ensure outstanding items are corrected before possession Support the 60-Day List and 1-Year Drywall Touch-Up processes by attending appointments and overseeing completion Assist Project Managers as needed, including maintaining job site cleanliness and upkeep Perform other related duties as assigned by management to support overall project successQualifications:
1-3 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, or a related trade Hands-on handyman ability- comfortable performing minor repairs, including caulking, trim work, hardware installation, minor drywall patching, and paint touch-up Basic knowledge of residential construction systems and terminology (framing, mechanical, finishes) Strong attention to detail
- able to identify workmanship defects and assess against quality standards Excellent communication and customer service skills Professional, reliable, and self-directed Basic computer skills (Outlook, mobile apps)
