Job Description
As an Armed Security Guard, you'll be a critical component of our security team, responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Cherokee Nation Entertainment (CNE) properties, guests, and employees. This role requires a vigilant and proactive approach to security, including patrols, incident response, and maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with local law enforcement and leadership to uphold a secure and welcoming environment.
NOTE:
This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Please note that a positive drug test result, including for marijuana, may result in a job offer being rescinded for applicants or termination of employment for current employees, even if they possess a valid medical marijuana license.- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 6 months of experience in security or a related field.
- State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license preferred at time of hire; required within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
- Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license required.
- Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and how to maintain a chain of evidence.
- Ability to pass a CNE security-approved custody control and weapons training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Comfortable working in diverse settings, including climate-controlled offices, outdoors in all types of weather, and casino floors with exposure to second-hand smoke and crowd noise.
