Armed Security Guard - Lafayette, LA

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Guard to join our team in Lafayette, LA. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and employees. Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of the facility
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities
• Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including investigating disturbances and reporting any necessary information to the appropriate authorities
• Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and ensuring authorized entry
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional manner
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or damages
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property

Skills:

• Knowledge of CCTV systems and surveillance techniques
• Strong understanding of conflict management principles
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and strong observation skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Prior military or law enforcement experience is highly desirable.
