Job Description

Rago/Wright is looking for an Art Intake & Property Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Lambertville, New Jersey. This detail-oriented, hands-on professional will coordinate the intake, organization, and movement of fine art throughout our Lambertville, NJ locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates across teams, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and organization throughout the property lifecycle. Rago/Wright is a network of auction houses specializing in fine art, design, decorative arts, jewelry and watches, and pop culture. Comprised of six industry-leading brands - Rago, Wright, LA Modern Auctions, Toomey & Co., Poster Auctions International, and Landry Pop Auctions - we represent a powerful force in the marketplace. With galleries in Lambertville, NJ, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and New York City, NY, our teams collaborate across departments and locations, working closely together to support the company leading up to and during auctions and exhibitions in a fast-paced and creatively driven environment. What you'll do: Receive, identify, and tag all incoming fine art Assist clients with drop-offs and provide logistical support as needed Dispose of packing materials and maintain organized intake areas Conduct preliminary condition reports of all new property Work with Collections & Cataloguing Manager to ensure that art inventory is organized and property is flowing efficiently in and out of the building Work closely with cataloguers and photographers to organize the flow of property Work with the Shipping team to prepare outgoing property transfers Assist with cataloging tasks, including measurements, materials, markings, condition notes, and property questions as time allows What we're looking for: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an auction house or gallery setting preferred Excellent communication and organization skills Comfortable using communication tools such as Slack and email for effective collaboration Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Outlook, and Slack Reliable, detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity Prior understanding for the auction business, preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
