In this vital role, you will perform the daily operations of the asphalt production plant, ensuring the efficient mixing and processing of materials to meet project specifications. Your hands-on approach will help maintain safety standards, optimize plant performance, and support the overall success of our construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment, including conveyors, mixers, and heating systems, to produce high-quality asphalt mixtures. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on plant machinery, utilizing mechanical knowledge and fabrication skills to troubleshoot issues promptly. Manage material loading and unloading processes using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring safe handling of raw materials like aggregates, bitumen, and additives. Maintain accurate records of production volumes, equipment performance, and safety checks; complete shift reports diligently. Follow all safety protocols during plant operation, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to environmental regulations. Support organization by managing inventory of raw materials efficiently. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation such as loaders. Mechanical knowledge related to asphalt plant machinery, welding, machining, and fabrication processes. Experience with asphalt production helpful but will train the right person Strong understanding of manufacturing or construction environments with a focus on safety standards. Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently. Knowledge of warehouse procedures including inventory management and material handling.
