General Production Worker Job Description We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker who can thrive in a dynamic and physically demanding environment. The role requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds, utilize a tape measure, and work in a damp setting. Candidates should feel comfortable cleaning PODS units throughout the day, as the work involves constant movement and standing. Steel-toed or rubber boots are essential, and the ability to use hand and power tools is required. Teamwork and a positive attitude are crucial, alongside basic math skills for measurements. The shift runs from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for extended hours up to 6 pm over the next few weeks. Responsibilities Clean and maintain PODS units using pressure washing techniques. Utilize hand and power tools for assembly and maintenance tasks. Work collaboratively within a team to ensure efficient production. Maintain high standards of attendance and productivity. Follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols. Essential Skills Experience with pressure washing and general labor tasks. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Ability to lift 50 pounds continuously. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Basic math skills for accurate measurement. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Mechanical aptitude for assembling and disassembling components. Previous experience in truck stop or detail work is advantageous. Attention to detail and ability to operate machinery. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a spacious warehouse surrounded by assembled PODS containers. You will be working in a team of five to assemble containers. The warehouse experiences varying temperatures, being cold in winter and hot in summer. Steel-toed boots are mandatory. Attendance is critical, with strict policies on call-offs while under contract. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Harvey, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
