Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role involves assembling mechanical and electrical components using a variety of tools and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. You will read and interpret blueprints and technical documents, perform precise setups on machinery, and conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications. You will work closely with team members to achieve production goals while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Responsibilities Assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to complete assembly tasks accurately. Perform setups and operate machinery, including Bridgeport mills or similar equipment, as needed. Conduct quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other gaging and measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. Collaborate with team members and support colleagues to meet daily and weekly production goals. Follow established procedures and work instructions to ensure consistent product quality. Identify and report any issues or defects in parts, tools, or equipment to the appropriate personnel. Handle components and tools carefully to prevent damage and ensure accurate assembly. Demonstrate reliability by consistently meeting attendance, productivity, and quality expectations. Essential Skills Proven experience in assembly, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments. Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Ability to perform precise setups on machinery and equipment. Familiarity with gaging and measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments for assembly work. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness and ability to travel to Windsor if needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical assembly is highly beneficial. Experience as an electrical assembler is an advantage. Comfort working with production and assembly processes in an industrial setting. Ability to collaborate effectively within a production team. Work Environment This position is based in an industrial manufacturing environment where you will work with mechanical and electrical assemblies, production equipment, and precision measuring tools. You can expect to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as Bridgeport mills in a shop or factory setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Putnam, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
