Weekend OT Contract:
12 Months (Potential Extension) Position Overview We are hiring 2 Assemblers (Level II) with experience in soldering and mechanical assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) . In this role, you will support the end-to-end assembly of circuit card assemblies , ensuring all products meet strict quality, safety, and reliability standards . This is a great opportunity for candidates with electronics manufacturing, aerospace, or military assembly experience who are looking to grow in a Lean manufacturing environment . Key Responsibilities
  • Soldering & Electronics Assembly Perform hand soldering, wave soldering, and reflow processes Apply solder paste, flux, and alloys per engineering drawings and IPC standards Monitor and adjust equipment settings (temperature, conveyor speed, etc.
) Mechanical Assembly Install components such as connectors, brackets, heat sinks, and mounts Use hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic tools Ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy Inspection & Testing Conduct visual inspections and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) Perform functional testing (continuity, power-up) Identify defects and document non-conformances Documentation & Traceability Complete work orders, lot tracking, and MES system entries Record material lot numbers, test data, and equipment parameters Continuous Improvement Participate in Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, and root-cause analysis Recommend process improvements to reduce scrap and rework Safety & Compliance Follow all EHS and PPE requirements Maintain a clean and organized workstation Comply with IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD, and
IPC-WHMA-A-620
standards Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred) 2+ years of experience in: PCB soldering and circuit card assembly Electronics manufacturing (aerospace/military preferred) Working knowledge of: IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD, IPC-WHMA-A-620) Engineering drawings and schematics Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Preferred Skills Experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and through-hole components Familiarity with PCB materials and handling procedures Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) Experience with MES or ERP systems Physical Requirements Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift Lift up to 25 lbs Perform repetitive fine motor tasks Work Environment Manufacturing setting with exposure to: Solder fumes and flux vapors (ventilation provided) Moderate noise levels (hearing protection available) Additional Requirements Must pass a pre-employment medical exam Overtime available (approx. 10 hours/week )
