Job Title:
Assembly Associate Job Description This entry-level Assembly Associate role supports the production of quick fluid connectors for domestic and international automotive customers. Depending on production needs, you will work either in a cleanroom assembling very small components or in the molding area as a bagger/tagger. You will perform highly repetitive tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting daily production goals in a clean, modern, and temperature-controlled facility. Responsibilities Assemble small fluid connector components, some as small as a pen cap, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Work in either the cleanroom as an assembler or in the molding section as a bagger/tagger based on production needs. Handle and inspect small components to ensure they meet quality and production standards. Perform highly repetitive tasks for the duration of the shift while maintaining focus and consistency. Meet or exceed daily production goals and demonstrate the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Follow all cleanroom protocols, including wearing required gown, hairnet, and eye protection when assigned to the cleanroom. Adhere to all safety and facility rules, including restrictions on acrylic nails, false eyelashes, rings, and cell phone usage on the floor. Operate basic production or packaging equipment as needed and follow standard operating procedures. Collaborate with a peer mentor during onboarding and progress toward working independently. Maintain excellent attendance, reliability, and a positive, coachable attitude. Support a clean and organized work area and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the facility. Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of general manufacturing or production experience, with a demonstrated ability to meet daily production goals. Experience handling small components in a production or assembly environment. Strong attention to detail when working with very small parts. Ability to perform highly repetitive tasks for an entire shift while maintaining quality. Ability to stand or sit for the full duration of the shift, depending on assignment. Consistent reliability, strong attendance, and a positive, coachable attitude. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous cleanroom experience. Forklift experience. Experience handling automotive components or working in an automotive manufacturing environment. General production, assembly, and general labor experience. Machine operation or machine operating experience. Packaging and inspection experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a brand-new, extremely clean, and temperature-controlled manufacturing facility maintained at approximately 70 degrees year-round. You will work on 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), or 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.), depending on assignment. The environment involves either cleanroom assembly or work in the molding area as a bagger/tagger, with highly repetitive tasks and the need to stand or sit for the entire shift. In the cleanroom, you must wear a gown, hairnet, and eye protection, and acrylic nails, false eyelashes, and rings are strictly prohibited. Cell phones are strictly prohibited on the production floor. The schedule includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch while on contract (which becomes paid once hired directly) and two paid 15-minute breaks each shift. Overtime is minimal. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to procedures to ensure a comfortable and efficient workplace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester Hills, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
