Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant professional to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting functions, accounts receivable and account payable processing, reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting. Job Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, tracking balances, and follow-up Enter sales orders and ensure accuracy in system records Issue purchase orders and support procurement processes Process invoices and verify billing details Handle receiving transactions and match to purchase orders Perform customer credit checks and maintain credit files Conduct collections activities and follow up on past due accounts Apply and record cash receipts accurately Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies Process accounts payable, including reviewing invoices, coding expenses, and ensuring timely payment Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner Associate's degree in Accounting required; Bachelor's degree preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with Global Shop or other ERP manufacturing software a plus

Pay:

$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
