PM Pay Rate:
$22.00•$24.00 per hour (compensation may vary based on experience) Position Summary We are seeking a focused, detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for purchasing and clerical functions related to raw materials, supplies, and equipment, while collaborating closely with internal teams such as engineering, design, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and adaptable to changing business needs. Key Responsibilities Research vendors and collect pricing, quotes, specifications, and related data Maintain and update purchasing databases to ensure accurate pricing information Create and issue purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner Obtain supplier lead times and update ERP systems with purchase order ETAs Review open orders and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery; document delays Collaborate with engineering and other departments for sourcing and product support Work closely with the design team to assist with forecasting trends for new products Prepare and update shipping schedules Coordinate with freight forwarders for quotes, shipment booking, customs clearance, and container delivery Organize and file shipment documentation Communicate production or supply issues that may impact orders Support reconciliation of purchase orders to sales orders Report damaged goods or shortages to domestic and overseas vendors Verify part counts against purchase orders, manufacturing orders, and vendor packing lists Communicate daily with buyers Participate in annual inventory counts with the warehouse team Monitor inventory levels and assist with daily purchasing and replenishment planning Help determine inventory levels and product flow needs Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High attention to detail and accuracy Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive thinker with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree 2-3 years of relevant experience in a wholesale or manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) Experience with order processing and ERP systems Strong mathematical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Calm, professional demeanor Ability to traverse the production floor as needed
