Position Overview:
We're looking for a detail-driven Assistant Controller to oversee core accounting functions and partner with leadership to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This person will supervise a small team, manage month-end closes, and help scale our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger activity, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliations Manage month-end and year-end close processes and reporting timelines Lead and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP Maintain and enhance internal controls and regulatory compliance Coordinate audits and lead response efforts Drive continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes Assist in budget planning and monitor financial performance through variance analysis Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial processes with business goals Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications:
