Position Available:
Full-Time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Home Health Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the Director of Nursing (DON): Assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operations of the nursing department to ensure the highest quality of care is provided.
Supervision and Leadership:
Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Staff Training and Development:
Assist in coordinating orientation, training, and continuing education programs for nursing staff to ensure high standards of practice.
Patient Care Management:
Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs, ensuring individualized care plans are developed and implemented.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
Patient and Family Education:
Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, and self-care techniques.
Crisis Management:
Act as a resource for nursing staff in managing complex patient care situations and resolving any issues that arise.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in home health or hospice care. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in nursing. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
