Medical, Dental, Vision; Paid Sick and Vacation Leave Mountain West Mothers' Milk Bank (MWMMB) is a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that screens donors and collects, pasteurizes, and distributes donor human milk throughout Utah and Idaho. Our mission is to provide lifesaving Pasteurized Donor Human Milk (PDHM) to premature and medically fragile infants. MWMMB seeks a Operations Manager to lead daily operations, manage financial and administrative systems, and supervise operational staff and contractors. The Operations Manager ensures smooth, compliant, and efficient operations across all departments. Mission & Compliance Uphold MWMMB's mission, values, and HMBANA accreditation standards. Maintain and improve procedures for donor screening, milk collection, pasteurization, and distribution. Ensure policies and procedures are current and followed. Lead preparation for the annual HMBANA audit and report outcomes to the ED. Serve as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and oversee the Food Safety Plan, hazard analysis, and verification activities, certified with in 6 months of hire. Operational Leadership Address lab process, quality, and safety needs. Support Shipping/Logistics with order prioritization and workflow planning. Oversee weekly pasteurization pooling and provide coverage during staffing shortages. Review temperature logs and address issues promptly. Lead weekly leadership meetings and provide operational updates to the ED. Support recall and product‑hold processes. Collaborate with the ED on strategic planning and operational initiatives. Facilities & Equipment Research, purchase, and maintain equipment within approved budgets. Oversee equipment lifecycle planning and facility maintenance. Manage vendor relationships for repairs and services. Monitor freezer and generator alarms and troubleshoot issues. Participate in Facilities Committee as needed. Finance & Administration Create and send invoices; support accurate categorization and timing of financial transactions. Coordinate with the bookkeeper and accountant on billing, payments, and collections. Manage operational budgets and track variances. Prepare monthly operations and KPI reports for Finance Committee meetings. Provide dual control for deposits and co‑sign checks when required. Monitor bank activity and accounts receivable; send payment reminders. Human Resources Manage hiring processes, onboarding, and required employment documentation. Review payroll and timecards and submit to the ED for approval. Maintain payroll records and time‑off tracking. Post job openings and participate in interviews. Provide coaching and conflict resolution; escalate serious issues to the ED. Maintain employee files and support terminations when needed. IT & Security Meet regularly with IT contractor and oversee implementation of IT needs. Ensure HIPAA‑compliant data storage and file management. Manage staff access, permissions, and software requirements. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced studies preferred. Minimum 6 years of experience, including 3 years in team or program management. Food processing or FDA regulatory experience preferred. Qualifications Strong financial and budgeting skills. Experience in logistics, supply chain, and process improvement. Ability to manage operations to KPIs. Excellent communication and leadership skills. HR and people‑management experience. Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently. Proficiency with spreadsheets, Google Workspace, and databases. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 40 pounds, including overhead lifting. Frequent computer use required. May involve contact with hazardous materials or biohazards.Job Type:
